Account Management


How do I create an account?


1. On the My Little Salesman homepage, click “Register” on the upper right hand side of the screen



2. Fill out your account information. Fields marked with a red asterisk are required.
3. Click submit


How do I change my password? 


1. Log in to your My Little Salesman account
2. Under “Account”, select “Personal Profile”
3. Select the “change password” tab
 
4. Type in your old password, and type in a new password

How do I recover my password?


1. Click “Log in” on My Little Salesman’s home screen
2. Under the fields to enter your email and password, select “Recover my password”
3. Enter the email address registered with the account and click “Submit”
 
4. Check your email for your password!


What if I can't remember the email associated with my account?


 
Contact us! We can search for your account using other criteria to help you recover your account. We can be reached Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm CST at 800-493-2295 or through online chat support.

How do I change my address?

1. Log into your account
2. On your administration bar (black bar across the top) click Your Name > Company Profile
3. A page will load with several tabs. Click on the Locations tab.
4. If you have multiple locations, you'll see them all listed here. Click Edit on the location you'd like to change
5. Update the information, click Save

 

 

How do I change my phone number?

1. Log into your account
2. On your administration bar (black bar across the top) click Your Name > Company Profile
3. A page will load with several tabs. Click on the Locations tab.
4. If you have multiple locations, you'll see them all listed here. Click Edit on the location you'd like to change
5. Directly under Edit Location, you'll see 4 tabs - General, Emails, Phone Numbers, Details. Select Phone Numbers
6. Make changes by clicking Edit and/or Add a New Phone Number
7. After you finish making your changes to the phone number, be sure to click Update or Insert
8. Lastly, click Save on the bottom.

 


My phone number isn't displaying on my ads. Why?

If you have multiple locations and phone numbers, you'll need to choose which you'd like to appear on the ads.
1. Log into your account
2. On your administration bar (black bar across the top) click Your Name > Company Profile
3. A page will load with several tabs. Click on the Locations tab.
4. If you have multiple locations, you'll see them all listed here. Click Edit on the location you'd like to change
5. Directly under Edit Location, you'll see 4 tabs - General, Emails, Phone Numbers, Details. Select Phone Numbers
6. Make changes by clicking Edit
7. Check "Show on Website" box and click the Update link

8. Lastly, click Save on the bottom.

Posting a Listing


How do I post a listing on My Little Salesman?


1. Log in to your My Little Salesman account.
2. Click +NEW at the top of your toolbar.



3. Begin filling out your item information. Select a category, make, model, enter a description, upload a photo, etc.
4. Once you’ve entered all the information you’d like, click “Create Ad”
5. At this point you’re looking at your shopping cart. If you’d like to upgrade your ad to a featured listing, select the upgrade you’d like. If you have more listings to create before checking out, return to step 2.



6. Once you’ve created all the listings you’d like to post at the same time, click “check out”.
7. Follow the payment instructions.
 


How much does it cost to post a listing?


We offer a tiered pricing structure dependent upon how long you want your ad to run.

Single Ad:
1 month: $19.95
pre-pay 3 months: $50.87
pre-pay 6 months: $93.37
pre-pay 12 months: $167.58

Unlimited Ads (post as many ads as you'd like within the time frame):
1 month: $300
pre-pay 3 months: $765
pre-pay 6 months: $1,404
pre-pay 12 months: $2,520
 


What are the upgrades and how much do they cost?


A Featured Listing means your ad shows up as a top result and with a different background color during searches and browsing.

Featured Listing prices (cost per listing, in addition to regular ad price)
1 month: $5
3 months: $12.75
6 months: $23.40
12 months: $42

 


I've got a lot of listings and it's going to take forever to enter them by hand. Is there some way you can automatically upload them for me?

Yes! Please contact your sales rep for instructions and pricing for bulk imports.

 

 

Why should I include all the details? 


Thorough and detailed information will help move your truck, trailer, equipment and/or parts as quickly as possible by giving buyers all the information they'll need to take action. Don't let the barrier to a sale be incomplete information.
 


Do I have to post pictures?


No. But you should! You may post unlimited photos on My Little Salesman and it's helpful to give buyers not only an idea of what condition your item is in, but that it really exists!
 


How do I edit my listings?

1. Log into your My Little Salesman account.2. Click "Ads" in your toolbar.3. Click "Edit on the left hand side.
 




How do I renew my listing after it expires?

1. Once logged into My Little Salesman, select "Ads" from the black bar across the top.
2. This is your list of ads on our site. Find the ad you'd like to renew, and click "Edit".
3. Click over to "Details" tab and select "Renew this ad"
4. This ad has now been moved to your shopping cart. 
5. Click the check mark to the left hand side of the items you'd like to purchase for this ad (unlimited listing, time limit, featured listing upgrade).
6. If you have more ads to renew, select "Return to Your Ads" and follow the same instructions.
7. Once finished, click "Check Out" to pay for your ads.

How can I sort my listings?

1. Once logged into My Little Salesman, select "Ads" from the black bar across the top.
2. This is your list of ads on our site. Right click anywhere on the title bar (the same line as Delete, Edit, Status, etc)
3. Scroll down to "Columns"
4. Select the columns you want displayed
5. After the page has refreshed, click the title of the column you want sorted.

Responding to a Listing


How do I contact a seller?


As part of the listing process, sellers choose how they want to be contacted about their listing.

On the detail listing page, contact information such as a phone number or email address will be on the right hand side. All listings offer a "contact us" for, which directly emails your message to the seller.

How do I know if the listing is fake?


Use your best judgment! If something seems weird about a listing, or if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Use a verification service like We Go Look to confirm details and information about the listing before moving forward with a sale.
 

What if they don't respond to my email?


Give us a call at 800-493-2295 and we'll help you get in touch. If they've provided other contact information (phone number or email) and have chosen to "hide" that information from the public, we may be able to reach out to them for you.
