Back in 1947, this Ford truck allegedly hauled a refrigerator, eight fence posts, two hunting dogs, and a man named Earl across a dry riverbed during a dust storm without complaint.Now, after sitting for many, many years in Arizona, the old truck has finally decided to take a well-earned break.This 1947 Ford truck is one of the famous “Jail Bar” Fords, named after the distinctive grille that looks suspiciously like the front entrance to a county lockup. It’s the kind of styling that makes modern trucks look overly emotional. Simple, rugged, and built when “driver assistance” meant your buddy standing outside yelling directions.The truck currently does not run and has been sitting long enough that local lizards probably consider it historic property. The tires do not hold air, which is their polite way of saying they retired years ago.
