1976 Oshkosh P-4 Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting Truck

This 1976 Oshkosh P-4 ARFF truck is equipped with a Caterpillar 1693 diesel engine paired with an Allison automatic transmission. The engine was recently overhauled by Stewart & Stevenson in Grand Junction, Colorado, and the vehicle was maintained on a 30-day service schedule throughout its life. Maintenance records are available. This auction also included 2 tires. One is on the wheel.

The batteries have been removed, and the truck has not been started since it was taken out of service and parked. Buyers should assume the unit will require new batteries or will need to be towed for transport.

The odometer currently reads 729 miles. This mileage reflects the refurbishment completed by Pierce Manufacturing in 2010, during which the original dashboard, gauges, and switches were replaced. It does not represent the total lifetime mileage of the vehicle. The fire district invested approximately $265,000 in upgrades and refurbishment during the 2010 rebuild.

The truck was removed from service in September 2016.
