1989 Ford F-350 Emergency Management Support Truck – 4x4 Diesel
The Town of Mansfield is offering this 1989 Ford F-350 Emergency Management Support Truck for sale. This vehicle was originally designed by Emergency Management Director Alan Albert of Chelsea, Massachusetts, and was custom built by E.J. Murphy Company of Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The original card listing the truck is posted in photos no longer has some of the items such as the radios etc. 
The truck is built on a 1989 Ford F-350 diesel 4x4 chassis and is powered by the International 7.3L diesel engine. It features an automatic transmission, air conditioning, front and rear fuel tanks, and currently shows only 9,030 miles. The town has had this vehicle about 4 years and the new title to the town, stated 30K miles which we believe isn't accurate and the actual miles is 9030, but unsure. This truck was stored in a garage for many years prior to town taking ownership. But we want to disclose this information. Please inspect the truck to make a reasonable assessment. 
The truck was purpose-built as an emergency response/support vehicle and includes:
Kubota diesel generator mounted in the rear compartment
Interior electrical wiring and support systems
Multiple floodlights
Telescopic boom extending through the roof of the rear compartment
Camera system mounted on the boom for use when deployed on scene
Front bumper-mounted winch
This is not a converted ambulance. It is a complete 1989 Ford F-350 truck with a full cab and no access from the cab into the rear compartment.
The Town of Mansfield acquired this vehicle several years ago from the City of Chelsea, Massachusetts. Since acquisition, the Town has completed significant maintenance and upgrades, including:
New tires
New springs
New brakes
New belts
Other miscellaneous maintenance items
The Kubota generator has recently been resealed and is operational. The truck starts, runs, and drives as it should and is in exceptionally good overall condition for a 1989 vehicle.
The underside of the truck is in very good condition for its age, with minimal rust. Photos of the undercarriage have been included to show the overall condition of the vehicle.
The truck does have a few missing lights in the front fenders, which appear to have originally been part of a strobe light assembly.
Important Notice Regarding Town Identification:
Prior to removal from the Town of Mansfield property, all lettering and markings identifying the vehicle as belonging to the Town of Mansfield must be removed. The buyer may remove the lettering at the Town’s facility before taking possession of the vehicle. If the buyer chooses not to remove the lettering, the Town reserves the right to spray paint over the markings prior to the vehicle leaving the property.
