PRIVATE PROPERTY IMPOUNDS – VEHICLE SALE TERMS & CONDITIONS
Title Transfer A valid Ohio title will be issued to the winning bidder, when applicable. The winning bidder is solely responsible for completing the title transfer at their local title bureau and transferring ownership into their legal name.
Vehicles Not Mechanically Inspected None of the vehicles offered for sale have been mechanically inspected, safety inspected, or road-tested by the Seller. The Seller makes no representation that any vehicle is safe or roadworthy.
Vehicle History Vehicles were acquired by the Seller through towing, impound, abandoned vehicle, or lien foreclosure procedures in accordance with Ohio law. The Seller has never owned, operated, or used these vehicles and has no knowledge of their history beyond the impound process.
The Seller makes no representations or warranties regarding:
Mechanical condition
Mileage accuracy
Prior ownership
Accident history
Flood, fire, or theft damage
Emissions compliance
Safety or roadworthiness
Fitness for any particular purpose
Title Branding The Buyer acknowledges that a vehicle may carry a Salvage, Rebuilt Salvage, or other branded title. Certain vehicles may also require inspection by the Ohio State Highway Patrol or other applicable authority before an Ohio title can be issued. The Buyer assumes full responsibility for all inspections, repairs, title transfers, registrations, and compliance with all Ohio BMV requirements or those of any other jurisdiction.
AS-IS SALE ALL VEHICLES ARE SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS.
The Seller expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
The Buyer assumes all risks associated with ownership, possession, transportation, operation, repair, and resale of the vehicle, whether known or unknown.
The Buyer releases, waives, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Seller from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses arising before or after the sale. Once possession of the vehicle has been transferred, the Seller assumes no further responsibility or liability, including but not limited to title, registration, taxes, citations, accidents, repairs, or any future claims.
The Buyer is solely responsible for all taxes, title fees, transfer fees, inspection costs, registration fees, and any other applicable government charges.
IMPORTANT – VEHICLE REMOVAL REQUIREMENT
ALL VEHICLES MUST BE TITLED IN THE WINNING BIDDERS NAME BEFORE THEY MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE PRIVATE PROPERTY IMPOUNDS LOT.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
The winning bidder must complete the title transfer at the appropriate title bureau and provide proof that the title has been transferred into their name before the vehicle will be released. This requirement is established by the Seller and supplements the standard terms and conditions of GovDeals. By placing a bid, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees to this requirement.
