The 2018 Bell B40E Articulated Haul Truck is a high-production, 40-ton-class off-road hauler engineered for demanding earthmoving, quarry, mining, pipeline, and large-scale construction applications. Powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM471LA 12.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine, the B40E produces 510 horsepower (380 kW) and 2,380 Nm (1,755 lb-ft) of torque, delivering strong pulling power and efficient performance under heavy loads. Power is transmitted through an Allison 4700 ORS 7-speed automatic transmission, which provides smooth shifting, optimized fuel economy, and excellent gradeability. Bell's integrated drivetrain management system continuously monitors operating conditions to maximize traction and reduce wheel slip.
