The paver is powered by a 173-horsepower Volvo D6 Tier 4 Final engine enabled with adaptive Volvo engine speed technology. This feature automatically varies engine speed based on paver application for optimal fuel efficiency, highest torque and reduced machine noise. For the P5000, the most optimal engine speed setting is at 1500 RPM.
