Product Description
This Load King Outback 35MT-48D is a track-mounted digger derrick with its own trailer, for utility crews who need to set poles where a truck can’t go: backyards, easements, soft ground, and slopes. The Max Trak carrier runs on rubber tracks that retract to 35" to fit through a gate and extend to 68" for stability, with a 2-speed drive, low ground pressure, and a 22° slope angle. The operator drives it by radio remote, and a Kubota 25 hp Tier 4 diesel powers it. Four outriggers with hydraulic down, an outrigger boom interlock, a moving outrigger alarm, a retracted track alarm, a 4-way out-of-level alarm, and boom hydraulic overload protection help keep setup safe on uneven ground. The 35MT-48D reaches a 40' sheave height (48' on the longer setting) and 35' of side reach. It has 440° non-continuous rotation and a 6,000 lb material handling rating. A steel and fiberglass boom with a 46 kV insulation rating allows work near energized lines, and the radio remote controls the upper functions, with lower controls at the rear of the track unit. The dual pin-on bucket platform holds 350 lbs single or 300 lbs dual, so the unit can switch between digging and aerial work. An 18" auger, a 2" hex kelly bar, a hydraulic hose reel, and a pole rack are included. The 20' tandem-axle trailer has a 20,000 lb GVWR and a pintle eye hitch, so a one-ton or larger truck with the right hitch can haul the whole package between jobs. For line crews that regularly work in places a full-size digger truck can’t reach, this is a way to get one machine to the pole instead of hand-digging or finding a different solution.
