Product Description
This Mack Granite 64BR 6x4 hooklift is for haulers who want to run a range of container sizes on one truck, with a 50,000 lb Palfinger HT500L on a chassis that stays manageable on tight sites. The hooklift handles containers from 16' to 22' and tips them to a 48° dump angle. A dual-point articulation jib adjusts manually between 54" and 61 3/4" to match the container height, so one truck can pick up different boxes without a second hoist. The A514 (T-1) steel construction, a direct-mount piston pump running at 4,495 psi, and dual lift cylinders are built for heavy daily loading and unloading. Mechanical slide-through hold downs, poly fenders, and a Pioneer SARG 4500 tarp secure and cover loads, and PAD joystick controls for the hoist and tarper, along with a hot shift PTO, keep operation straightforward. A beacon and work lights are included, and the hooklift has a 3 year structural and 1 year hydraulic warranty. The 6x4 layout pairs a 20,000 lb front axle with a 46,000 lb Hendrickson HMX EX 460 tandem rear for a 66,000 lb GVWR, with a driver-controlled locking differential for traction on soft or uneven ground. The Mack MP8 at 445 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque with an Allison 4500 RDS-P has the power to move a full container on grades, and the MP8 Powerleash auxiliary brake, air brakes, and engine block heater add control and cold-start reliability. The air ride driver seat, heated mirrors, and power windows keep drivers comfortable through a full day of container swaps, and the 93 gal fuel tank supports long routes. For haulers who want flexibility across container lengths in a single hookup system, it’s a practical configuration to build a route around.
