Hoist capacity is the headline on this Galbreath U75-OR-174: 75,000 lbs, a step up from the 50,000 and 60,000 lb units in the same family, and the 8x4 Mack Granite 64BR underneath is set up to carry it. A 52,000 lb rear axle on multi-leaf suspension, a 20,000 lb front axle, and a 20,000 lb steerable pusher bring the GVWR to 86,000 lbs, with a driver-controlled locking differential for traction. The Mack MP8 makes 445 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque through an Allison 4500 RDS-P, with the MP8 Powerleash auxiliary brake, air brakes, an air dryer, an engine block heater, and a 93 gal fuel tank. The roll-off handles containers up to 22' on an outside rail, with ten outboard supported rollers (no standard rollers), rear skid plates, and wear strips. An 8" x 4" x 1/2" main frame and a 3" x 2" x 5/16" subframe carry the load. Fixed rear and ratchet strap hold downs, an air-operated ICC bumper, poly fenders, and a Pioneer SARG 4500 tarp secure and cover the box, and outside and in-cab controls, a gantry-mounted beacon, two tarper-mounted work lights, and a hoist-up alarm help the operator work around it. A 3rd eye camera gives the driver a view behind the truck. The cab has an air ride driver seat, heated mirrors, and power windows and locks, and an 18" x 18" x 48" steel toolbox and a spill kit are included, along with integrated rear strobes, a backup alarm, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.
