Product Description
This Mack Granite 64BR roll-off is built for waste and hauling operations that need to move big containers with the weight capacity to do it legally. The Galbreath U5-OR-174 handles containers up to 22' long, and the 8" x 4" x 1/2" main frame, 3" x 2" x 3/16" subframe, rear skid plates, and ten rollers (six standard plus four outboard supported) are built for the daily abuse of loading and unloading heavy boxes. Hold downs at the rear with ratchet straps, an air-operated ICC bumper, and a Pioneer SARG 4500 tarp keep loads secured and covered, while the in-cab and outside controls give the operator flexibility at the container. A hoist-up alarm, gantry-mounted beacon, and tarper-mounted work lights add awareness on the job. The 8x4 layout pairs a 46,000 lb Hendrickson HMX EX 460 tandem rear with a 13,000 lb steerable pusher axle and a 20,000 lb front axle, bringing GVWR to 79,000 lbs for hauling dense material like concrete, soil, and demo debris. The Mack MP8 at 445 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque, mated to an Allison 4500 RDS-P, has the pulling power to get a full container moving on grades, and the engine brake, air brakes, driver-controlled locking differential, and engine block heater add control and cold-start reliability. The 93 gal fuel tank supports long routes, and the air ride driver seat, heated mirrors, and power windows and locks keep drivers comfortable through a full day of container swaps. For haulers who want to run heavy, dense loads on a single truck and keep up with a busy container schedule, this is a heavy-duty configuration built to carry its weight.
