Product Description
Rail crews who haul ballast, spoil, and stone to a work zone usually need a dump truck, and a hi-rail rotary dump lets one truck run on the rails and put the material where it’s needed. The Load King 760 body is 14' and holds 12 cubic yards, with proportional hydraulics and joystick control for dumping, and a rotary dump package that includes a street-side hinged drop ladder, an adjustable spreader, and chutes to direct how material comes out. An electric tarp covers the load, and Continental hydraulic rail dogs are part of the package. The Continental LS-60 heavy duty railgear has front brakes, front and rear sweeps, auto-mechanical locking pins, insulated construction, and slotted links, and it is track tested. A 25 ton swivel hitch with electric and air brake connections and D rings lets the truck pull equipment. The chassis is a Freightliner 108SD 6x4 regular cab with an 18,000 lb front axle, a 40,000 lb rear axle, and a 58,000 lb GVWR. The Cummins L9 makes 350 hp through an Allison 3000RDS automatic, with air brakes, an engine block heater, and HD batteries. An engine hour meter and tachometer help track use, and the cab has air conditioning and an AM/FM radio. For visibility and safety, the truck has an LED amber strobe light, front and rear LED driving lights, an air horn, a 5 lb fire extinguisher in the cab, a first aid kit, and a triangle reflector kit.
