The Loadmaster Excel holds 25 yd in a 288" body made from 8 ga Hi-Tensile steel, and compaction of 1,000-1,250 lbs per yard with a 22 second cycle time means more material packed into every load. The 3.7 cy hopper with a 75" loading width and 60" opening height keeps loading quick, while the curbside cart tipper and 2-10 yd reeving winch system let one truck handle carted residential pickups and bulk containers on the same route. Dual clean out doors, a container bumper bar, a Uni Latch coupler, and outside controls make the body practical for daily service, and the hot shift PTO keeps the hydraulics straightforward. The 6x4 chassis with a 40,000 lb rear axle on a Hendrickson HMX EX 400 suspension and a 54,600 lb GVWR gives you the payload margin to run a full 25 yd body without living at the limit, and the driver-controlled locking differential helps in wet, icy, or soft pickup conditions. The Cummins L9 at 350 hp with an Allison 3000 RDS-P, integral brake, and air brakes with an air dryer keeps the drivetrain simple and familiar to service, and the engine block heater helps with cold starts. A cab-mounted beacon, strobe lights, hopper-mounted work lights, and a rear camera help drivers and crews stay visible and aware at the curb. The air ride driver seat, heated mirrors, and power windows and locks keep long routes comfortable. For fleets that want a step up in body size and axle capacity from a 4x2 rear loader without moving to a larger chassis class, this configuration is a strong fit.
