Hiab has excitedly announced the winner of the World Crane Championship (WCC) held on September 22nd and 23rd in connection with the IAA exhibition in Hannover, Germany. Andreas Öhman from Sweden won the championship final with a time of 2:32:89. Jani Väisänen from Finland came in second place with a time of 2:38:95, and Tim Hansen from Denmark came in third place with a time of 2:33:18 after winning the bronze final.

This week at the IAA 2018 exhibition in Hannover, Hiab, part of Cargotec, debuted their renewed JONSERED recycling crane meant for heavy-duty recycling. This new range of cranes will be a part of Hiab’s all-inclusive offering for waste and recycling applications. Hiab will be showcasing the crane’s pioneering features at the upcoming IAA exhibition from September 20th to 27th in Hannover, Germany. The new models will feature the HIAB HiPro, the most advanced remote control system in the industry, as well as other qualities attributing to faster and safer crane operation.

Acquiring the Effer loader cranes business speaks to Hiab’s already established ambition to be the global leader in cranes. Hiab obtained the well-known crane manufacturer at 50 million euros.

Hiab, part of Cargotec, has recently announced that they are upping their game when it comes to their portfolio of light range loader cranes. Combining strength with reliability and ease of use, this lineup of cranes now comes with an increased capacity of 11 tonne meters, which is 7 more tonnes than previous models. Additionally, the machines now come with four options for remote and manual control systems, giving ultimate customizability and control to the operator in order to meet their exact level of precision during operation.

The winner will be announced at the finals, which will take place at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany on September 22-23 of this year.
