Powered by a Cat C6.6 ACERT six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, the 2012 D6N LGP produces approximately 150 net horsepower (112 kW). The engine is designed to provide strong low-end torque, dependable pushing power, and excellent fuel efficiency while meeting emissions requirements of its era. The powerplant is paired with Caterpillar's proven hydrostatic transmission, allowing smooth acceleration, infinitely variable speed control, counter-rotation capability, and precise maneuverability during grading operations.
