John Deere’s newest training facility in Coal Valley, Illinois was recently completed, offering trainees 7,500 square feet of training space. More than half of the facility - 4,0000 square feet - is covered canopy space for outdoor training and equipment walkarounds. This new Construction & Forestry Training Campus also features three classrooms that can be used individually for separate training purposes or combined in order to hold events for up to 250 people.

John Deere is upgrading their 470G LC Excavators with new grade guidance technology, developed in cooperation with Topcon Positioning Group. The concept was originally designed for use with 210G LC and 350G LC Excavators, providing operators with bucket location in relation to a 2D reference or 3D design surface. This power and precision then arms those operators with the detail necessary for precision excavation projects like digging trenches for pipe laying, shaping ditches or slopes, and digging structure foundations.

John Deere recently added three new backhoe attachments, the BH9B, BH10B and BH11B, to their ever expanding lineup. The new models are ideal for use on John Deere G-Series skid steers and compact track loaders, similar to other attachments. These backhoe attachments were designed specifically for applications like light construction, landscaping, agricultural, or utility work.

The event was held at their remanufacturing facilities in Springfield, Missouri and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as well as various other units throughout the company. John Deere will be displaying their construction equipment at Bauma for the first time this year, April 8-14th. Set to be exhibiting a select fourteen machines, the exhibition will be held at the Wirtgen Group booth. Amongst the equipment will be motor graders intended be sold via the French sales and service company Wirtgen France SAS, as well as Wirtgen Group’s German sales and service companies, which John Deere acquired in December of 2017.

John Deere is rolling out their next generation of construction simulators, bringing avid learners more advanced, hands-on training. The modular update outfits the new simulators to one of six machine types: the backhoe, crawler dozer, excavator, wheel loader, joystick-controlled motor grader, and fingertip control motor grader. Based on actual John Deere equipment, the updated simulators feature swappable controls that allow for quick interchange of joysticks and foot pedals to multiple machine types.

John Deere revealed their three newest L-Series utility wheel loaders, all with more power and suited for the versatility required of job sites and farms. The 524L, 544L and 624L were all designed with the operator in mind, given a much more comfortable cab with increased visibility, additional storage room, heaters, and more. Other new features, including electrohydraulic (EH) loader controls, redesigned near-parallel linkage, and enhanced performance buckets also aid in making these nimble machines more intuitive for operators of all skill levels.

John Deere has expanded their Worksite Pro attachments collection yet again with the addition of their five new pickup and three new angle brooms. The BP72C, BP84C, BR60C, BR72C, and BR84C pickup brooms and the BA72C, BA84C, and BA96C angle brooms were designed for simple and easy cleanup in construction applications, as well as snow and turf. These brooms are compatible with John Deere compact track loaders and skid steers, as well as competitive models.

Designed in Dubuque, Iowa, the new models feature increased productivity and uptime, as well as lower operating costs. Equipped with final Tier 4 engine technology, the 665K and 755K will have similar designs, systems, and components to other product lines in the John Deere crawler family.

John Deere is expanding their lineup of Worksite Pro attachments, as well as their offering of job site cleanup solutions, with their brand new GS66B, GS72B, GS78B, GS84B scrap grapple buckets and GR72B and GR84B rock grapple buckets. The scrap grapple buckets are the perfect solution for any job site cleanup application where grappling power is necessary for handling materials such as for disaster cleanup and recycling center use. The rock grapple buckets, also ideal for job site cleanup, come with land clearing and brush removal capabilities, with the added benefit of being able to grade sites after debris removal.
