From the Manufacturer
The MAC Bullet™ Bottom Dump Trailer is built on more than 40 years of
continuous design refinement, and it shows where it matters most - your
operating costs. The aerodynamic shape with tapered end cone
transitions has been shown to deliver up to 10% fuel savings compared to
conventional designs by reducing wind resistance at highway speeds. For
operations running routes all day, that adds up fast.
The body
uses rolled 5454-H32 aluminum panels that actually strengthen during the
forming process, resisting the cracking that plagues flat-panel designs
over time. Unlike open-truss belly dumps that expose components to the
elements, the Bullet seals its structural members, wiring, and hardware
inside closed voids - dramatically reducing corrosion and electrical
failures. And because aluminum naturally oxidizes to form its own
protective barrier, there's no paint to maintain or touch up.
With
a 24 cubic yard capacity and clamshell gate design, the Bullet is
purpose-built for windrowing aggregate, road base, and asphalt in
controlled, even lines without ever stopping your wheels. That means
faster cycle times and zero tip-over risk since the bed never leaves the
frame.
Worth knowing: Ask about onboard scale
and trailer roll stability options - together they let you load
confidently to legal weight limits while adding a layer of safety on
uneven terrain that most belly dump buyers don't think about until they
need it.
