In January of 2000, Vince Anderson and Lew Tripp started Rainbow Equipment Sales with the dream to be their own bosses and sell quality, job-ready used equipment to buyers who know the value that brings to their operation.

Lew puts it simply, “Lots of people can buy a piece of ‘coal’ cheap, then try to polish it up to look like a ‘diamond’. But it takes a lot of work to find those few ‘diamonds’ in the used equipment industry that don’t have all the flaws of rebuilt equipment and deliver that inventory to buyers. That is what we do, deliver the diamonds among the coal.”

Treating customers with that kind of respect is working well. Eleven years ago Vince and Lew acquired their current facility, on Highway 93 as it heads into Missoula. They were able to add a shop to do repairs and expand operations in a high traffic area. As Lew puts it “we wanted to expand our presence and invest in operations to provide the best most efficient buying experience possible for our customers. The new facility on Highway 93 does just that.”

Jason Pierce is the second generation of Pierce's to own My Little Salesman. Jason remembers travelling with his dad Dick Pierce on sales trips or visiting him at his office as a young boy. These regular visits with his dad is where Jason learned directly how the business of advertising and marketing is integral to the success of a dealer's business.

A father of 6, Jason lives in Austin, Texas where he enjoys being with his wife Elena and their kids. They are avid sports enthusiasts, enjoying the Austin weather and life that God has provided for them.
